== Creating a Shop ==

To create a shop, place a chest in your town and run the setup command while looking at it:

<code>/shop create [price] [buy/sell/both] [item]</code>

For example, to sell 64 cobblestone for 5G each:

<code>/shop create 5 sell cobblestone</code>

The chest will be converted into a shop. A sign is automatically attached showing the item, price, and whether the shop buys, sells, or both.

== Tips ==

* Keep your sell shop stocked — an empty chest will show as out of stock to customers.
* For a buy shop, deposit enough [[Economy|Gold]] into the chest to cover purchases, otherwise the shop will not be able to pay customers.
* Place shops in high-traffic areas of your [[Towny|town]] for more customers, or set your town to public so outsiders can visit.
* Use <code>/shop search</code> before setting a price to check what competitors are charging.
