Bedrock Support

DiplomacyCraft supports Bedrock Edition clients through Floodgate and Geyser, allowing players on mobile, console, and Windows 10/11 Edition to join and play alongside Java Edition players.

How It Works

[edit]

Geyser acts as a protocol translator, converting Bedrock Edition network traffic into Java Edition packets so Bedrock clients can connect to a Java server. Floodgate works alongside Geyser to allow Bedrock accounts to authenticate without needing a Java Edition account.

Together they allow Bedrock players to join, chat, claim land in Towny, trade, and participate in all server mechanics just like Java players.

Connecting

[edit]

Bedrock players connect using diplomacycraft.swainlabs.net on port 19132.

Note: Bedrock players will have their username prefixed with a . (period) in-game to distinguish them from Java players. This prefix is NOT required when entering your username on voting sites.

Limitations

[edit]

Due to differences between the Java and Bedrock clients, some features may behave differently or not be available to Bedrock players:

  • Certain resource pack features may not apply
  • Some chat formatting and clickable links may not render
  • Client-side mods such as Distant Horizons are not available on Bedrock
